MYSTERE DE NOTRE DAME are an Italian progressive metal band, formed in Monza, Italy in 1993. The line-up of Ruggero CESANA (Vocals, Guitars), Gianluca SCASSA (Keyboards), Roy (Bass), Luciano MARINETTI (Drums) and Joe LACQUANITI (Guitars) released the self-titled album in 1996 via Music Is Intelligence. A slight peculiarity is that they are an Italian group with a French name, who sing in English and recorded their album in Germany. There have been no further updates to the history or evolution of the band since.

High-pitched vocals, power/prog metal riffology, lush keyboards and multiple piano sections constitute the sound of the band, which will appeal to fans of traditional progressive metal in the vein of ETERNITY X, DREAM THEATER, early SHADOW GALLERY.
