Don Schiff biography
Don SCHIFF is an American musician and songwriter from Delaware. He is known as a bass guitar player and one of the earliest innovative players of the Chapman Stick and NS/Stick. He started out as a bass player in showrooms in Las Vegas which afterwards expanded into a musical career where he was a studio musician for other artists and a songwriter. In the same fashion he was first a session player in the early 90's for the symphonic progressive rock band ROCKET SCIENTISTS on their first album, but he quickly became a part of their band which is still active.

It wasn't until late 90's when SCHIFF started to release solo records, which was around the same time when the NS/Stick was first developed and SCHIFF created a lot of new playing techniques which were then featured on his records. Sound on SCHIFF's solo albums ranges from more accessible vocal songs to progressive modern instrumental jazz rock, recommended to fans of artists like Tony LEVIN for example.
