Pink Freud biography
PINK FREUD is an modern jazz band formed in 1998 by Wojtek MAZOLEWSKI. Being one of the most innovative voices in the Polish jazz scene, the band released several studio and live albums on which they are inspired by several different genres, ranging from rock to drum'n bass. The band has a very active live performance career, having toured both around Europe, South America and also visited Morocco and Japan.

Currently besides MAZOLEWSKI the line-up features Tomasz DUDA on sax, Adam BARON on trumpet and electronics, and Rafal KLIMCZUK on drums. Outside of studio work and concerts they're also working on composing soundtracks as well. Their overall work has been applauded with several awards in the community like the Record Of the Year for their 'Monster of Jazz' album or the Jazz Oscar awarded by the Association Melomani. While the band keeps exploring and improvising with every new album (being inspired by free jazz and punk later on), their use of custom made electronics and other new sources of inspiration are less founded in classic fusion of the 70's but some of their music can be recommended to fans of recent nu jazz that touches on prog rock like JAGA JAZZIST for example.
