Gnohgnuhgnlus / ex Dolulus biography
DOLULUS was a solo project by Jean-Marie Tschanz and aimed at getting the utmost of a single 'sound box'.

Mostly nurtured by more / less well known prog bands and some classic orchestral works by 1998, this electronic project went for any music that would take advantage of a Roland JV-1080 module. It was composed with Cubase 2.0 on Mac LC 630 between july 1995 and april 1998 (except for some minor corrections), then split on 2 CDs released on january of 1999. Noticeable ingredients are the extensive use of what sounds like LFO applied on tune, feedbacked resonances played as notes, some experiments on non standard scales and the use of programmed pitch bending as way to work on sound colors and edit solos / appoggiaturas.

It has a successor, GNOHGNUHGNLUS which is DAW-music mostly made of VSTs (samples, synths) less often real instrums (cello, guitar, keyboards, organ, drums), or sung lines.
