Dolulus biography
Dolulus was a solo project by Jean-Marie Tschanz and aimed at getting the utmost of a single "sound box". Sound module Roland JV-1080 was chosen for that purpose.

Mostly nurtured by major prog + avant bands, and some classic orchestral work by 1998, this electronic project went for any music that would take advantage of the module.

It was composed with Cubase 2.0 on Mac LC 630 between july 1995 and april 1998 (except for some minor corrections). The project was split on 2 CDs released on january of 1999.

Three noticeable ingredients are the extensive use of what sounds like tuned LFO, flanged resonances played as notes, and the use of programmed pitch bending as way to work on sound colors and edit spicy solos / appoggiaturas. One can often find those features on later partly-MIDI partly human-performed tracks involving Dolulus's maker.
