Backhand biography
BACKHAND is a band formed by Adrianus Van WOERKOM, Pablo MENDOZA, Oscar FANEGA and Adolfo HERRERA in 2010 in Caracas. The bandmates have long and rich careers regarding their respective instruments, guitarist MENDOZA directing his own music academy, HERRERA is a sought after session drummer and a member of a pop band WAHALA, WOERKOM is a television music composer and FANEGA is an active solo musician and director of 'Workshop Of Jazz Caracas'. The four native musicians are joined by the Canadian singer Phil NARO on their debut album 'Through The Turbulence' influenced by the likes of RUSH, DREAM THEATER, Joe SATRIANI, LED ZEPPELIN and others.
