Split Bearing biography
SPLIT BEARING is a progressive metal band from Czech Republic. Formed in November 2002 by a drummer Jiří M. LÝSEK and guitar player Michael RUCIL, the duo was soon complimented by Tomás SURMA on bass, Mirek ŘEZNÍCEK on guitar and Petr DULISKOVIC on lead vocals.

After a departure of Michael RUCIL, the band decided to recruit Martina VICHROVÁ on keyboards and the band began to compose some of their first original material. The lineup played their first gig in July 2003 which was then followed by a recording of their first demo. The recording process took almost two months and resulted in the album "Somewhere In Between". After several gigs the rest of the band decided to part ways with VICHROVÁ who was replaced by Dominika LAMACOVÁ. 2009 saw the release of the album "Six Years Of Working Split Bearing Without Malfunction", followed by "Welcome To The Present" is 2014.
