Sadman Institute biography
Founded on April 16, 2005, SADMAN INSTITUTE is a progressive metal band based in Kraków, Poland. Although there is certainly a DREAM THEATER influence to their sound, the music incorporates strong influences from acts ranging from TOOL to PORCUPINE TREE with brief forays into OPETH territory. There's also usage of the mellotron and plenty of diversity in their dynamics, featuring the strong clean vocals of singer Maciej PALWIK. Their inception also consisted of Marcin SZALAJKO on drums, Thomas GURGUROT and Paul SZCZEPANSKI on guitars and Martin GRABDA on bass.

In November of 2006 they recorded their first demo, which led to their first set of touring gigs. After numerous performances, in 2007 Marcin left the band and was replaced by drummer Maciej BERNIAK. This led to more complex and progressive music featuring more complicated rhythms. At the beginning of 2009, the bassist left and was replaced by Philip MALINOWSKI. In 2011, the band released the EP ''Mathematical Transfusion'' and in January of 2015 their first full length album ''Revival'' was relesed by Lynx records.
