Les Fragments de la Nuit biography
Hailing from the historic French town of Versailles, LES FRAGMENTS DE LA NUIT was created in 2005 by Michel Villar (piano) and Ombeline Chardes (violin), composers of film scores. In order to perform their hauntingly minimalist compositions on stage, they decided to set up a quintet with three violins, a cello and a piano. Their debut album, "Musique du Crépuscule", released in 2008, was received with great interest for its distinctive blend of contemporary classical music and rock modes. In 2010 it was followed by "Demain, C'Etait Hier", and in 2012 by "Musique de la Nuit".
