Chronostasis biography
CHRONOSTASIS is an instrumental progressive metal band based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2013 as the brainchild of Josh SOLTROFF (drums) and Jeff BLAIES (bass), the band plays an extreme and technical variant of metal that also incorporates ambient and occasional space rock influences into their template. Citing influences from articles by Stephen Hawking, Neil Degrasse Tyson and more, this act designed their first album to fuse these written inspirations into their sound, resulting in the 2015 release of ''Cosmagida''. With Pat HARRIS (guitar) and Eric MATELYAN (guitar) completing the lineup, their style of music ranges across a wide scope of extreme metal, fusion and progressive rock.
