Mindcrafter biography
Rio de Janeiro based act MINDCRAFTER began its inception in 2008 when vocalist and guitarist Phelipe HENRIQUES recruited guitarist Pedro MATTOS, bassist Mariano BELEM, vocalist Vinicius MONIZ and drummer Gustavo RODRIGUES for the band's initial formation. During the development of their progressive metal style, members eventually departed and were replaced by Kim KARVALHO on guitars, Lucas AMAYA on bass and Pedro H. CORREA on drums. In May of 2015, the band's first full length, ''Signs Revealed'' was released. Their brand of progressive metal relates to the branch incorporated by DREAM THEATER but with influences extending to a local flavor, adding Brazilian rhythms into the mix, as well as some occasional experimentation in dissonant chord progressions.
