Atlas Cube biography
Formed in Regensburg, Germany, in 2013. Helmar WEIB (Drums, Keyboards) and Sebastian BEER (Bass) had met during the formation of a short-lived hard rock project. Martin MIES (Guitar), Helmar's partner from a juvenile instrumental prog effort, had just returned to the area, looking to create a new band. They wanted to do something progressive and groovy at the same time. At the end of 2014, they recorded their first self titled EP and was released in 2015 consisting of four instrumental songs with intricate grooves, virtuoso guitar solos and busy bass licks. The result is a music that reach the style of DREAM THEATER with less keyboards sounds, but also display others influences that maybe will unfold in the future.
