5 stars This almost entirely instrumental and not easy accessible album doesn't seem to be that much appreciated in general, even certainly much more on RYM than PA. Neverthereless, after listening to it many times over the last 12 years, it has indeed grown on me and today, it actually is one of the modern Prog releases which I'm most fond of and impressed by. "Prog"?, well, Malval seems to be mostly considered as Post-Rock, but I find it very proggy. It was a significant change in Shora's musical direction from the more Math Rock / Hardcore into soundscape of dark instrumentals which shift into light and airy passages. (I wrote this "review" in May 2025.)
