3 stars A new POINT OF VIEW ...

Yeah! Here we have another promising new band from Poland which offers us a three piece demo EP first of all. Produced without a professional sound engineer. No problem at all - the sound quality is good! The basis of the music is Prog Metal with references to DREAM THEATER, RIVERSIDE or QUIDAM.

But the songs are not plagiating. You can listen to them for several times in a row and they are not boring. So the band is trying to find an independent style in this subgenre and doesn't fail. The keyboard playing for example is very interesting - more symphonic as usual. Vocals are well performed. And the line-up consists of two guitars. So there is a great chance for more variety, especially when they are on the stage.

Point in time is the first song and starts with a tricky electronic intro. This track is convincing with breaks, tempo changes and it takes time to deal with - my favourite of this debut. Reborn is characterized by a typical metal riff, grooves and has a very good memorable base melody. Mercy killing has a metal cover but also contains very nice sensitive guitar work and ends with a reminiscence to David Gilmour.

POINT OF VIEW is on a good way - so I'm curious and looking forward to future releases. Rating 3.5 stars ...
