Three side of a coin

New expected job for the Virtual Dream. Three side of to coin confirms the extraordinary abilities of the band and their three faces of the medal: technique, creativeness and power

The new Cd of the Virtual Dream celebrates the ten years of activity from the unbelievable debut Synthesis, voted as one of the best 20 albums fusion of the years '90. But to can ours in a kind is a lot of riduttivo, because their refined person instrumental rock is open to various styles.

The Virtual Dream are the virtuoso and technician Fabio Cerrone to the guitar, the creative Pierpaolo Ranieri to the lower part and the disruptive and powerful Lucrezio de Silk to the battery. Three side of to coin is the album of the by now complete maturity, already reached by the splendid and preceding Casuality. In this disk the care and the search of the sound it improves notably and the project continuous Virtual Dream in the same direction, but improving what has always been realized in precedence.

The Cd opens with the good Novilunio, one of the passages better succeeded that it synthesizes and it contains the quality of the music of the Virtual Dream. Killer attacks since the first note while 33 part slowly for then incedere in rhythm and good solos of the good Cerrone. Attack is a particular passage, part slow with atmospheres soft-lounge with good effects drum 'n bass and a riff of excellent guitar, for then to explode to tall volume. The other one has inspiration blues with many articulated passages and changes of rhythm you frequent, here excellent the test of the rhythmic section. Chameleon is a cover of Herbie Hancock from the mythical album Head Hunters, riarrangiata dearly from De Silk. The didn'ts mean you is another good passage with calls to the progressive psychedelic rock of the years '70. In closing the splendid title-track, ballad where Cerrone shows to know how to also be risked excellently with the acoustic guitar.

In conclusion we can say to already insert this disk in the top 5 of 2007, the fans they won't remain I disappointed. For the new arrivals the occasion impedibile to listen to the good music.
