2 stars PIKE 191 - 16 DAYS TIL HALLOWEEN: CELLAR is the 90th album released by BUCKETHEAD in 2015 and the 16th installment in the countdown to HALLOWEEN. This is still another dark ambient horror soundtrack to commemorate the holiday of ghosts, goblins and ghouls. All sounds brought to us by BUCKETHEAD and the album clocks in only two seconds shy of the 30 minute mark. All 8 tracks are titled "Cellar." All the tracks run together to create one long single haunting.

This PIKE starts off like a few others with a clankity clank of some industrial percussive sound that echoes and reverbs with some dark ambient noises that swirl along in the background. It kinda sounds like a factory or some industrial park but i guess it does conjure up a dark and spider filled CELLAR as well.

This is another one of those that stays in the dark and kinda dangles around the echoey clanks. There are some weird buzzing sounds here and there and screeches and such but this one doesn't have a lot of variety like the best HALLOWEEN PIKES. It's not quite as annoying as the last one however. This one despite it all does have a sense of spookiness to it but i don't find it particularly interesting either. OK but nothing more. At the end there is a little freakout with some kind of disco beat that pops in unexpectedly and then disappears and then the tempo of the ambience speeds up but then drops back to a simmer. This one is decent background music.
