2 stars The majority of tracks of the Ukrainian prog band ARLEKIN "Disguise Serenades" seems to me a unsuccessful project from in attempt to make a tribute or homage to one of biggest Neo-Prog pioneers, the British band MARILLION (this influence, at least in my point of view this is undeniable ). I wish to say (how already said in other reviews), I don't have any problem with so strong influences and I share the thought enunciated by Whliam Bernbach ( USA (August 13, 1911 ' October 2, 1982) which said " The imitation is the more sincere way of eulogy". But, in this case as soon as the music starts, Although I feel which the essential elements are presents, the mixture isn't adequate. In track 1 "The Lost Path" the voice of Igor Sidorenko are almost ghostly , in the development of theme the rhythm and instrumental are tedious and in the final part of the track appear a type of solo guitar theme, which don't create impulse for save the track. The only 2 tracks that I thinking are good ones are track 2 " Dance of the Jester" and track 4 " In this puzzled roundabout" but, I don't consider enough to reserve a place from this album in my collection ! My rate is only 2 stars !!!
