THE YES ALBUM

Well,this is a must have,it's the album where YES finally developed their own sound and made a school for all the prog rock students!...It's not as good as their later masterpieces but it's an album where the progressive term finds its meaning!...Influences by THE BEATLES are very obvious filtrated under the label of symphonic prog with complex arrangements in most of the tracks...Very good work by Tony Kaye and his organ, trademark vocals by Jon Anderson...and maybe it sounds strange but the guitar sounds to me like early RUSH or if you want YES might have been a great influence for Alex Lifeson of RUSH...

Compared to masterpieces like ''Close to the edge'',''Fragile'' or even ''Tales from topographic oceans'', this one loses the battle and should be rated with 3 or 3.5 stars...so I guess a 3 star rating would be more fair...Recommended.
