Folkjokeopus signalled Roy Harper's intent at getting more serious with his sound. Whilst the fundamental formulae are still there RH embarks on a more Eastern influenced driven sound. Not surprising given the end of the sixties. There are some real gems on Folkjokeopus like ' Sgt Sunshine', perhaps referencing his displeasure of the military,' Mc Goohan's Blues and the wonderful ' One For All'. The tracks were becoming longer as well and the experimentation shows on this solid release.
