2 stars 1982, hard times for prog and, like many other bands then, Omega changed their sound. Not only because of fashion - Omega musicians were seriously keen on computer technologies. As a result the album has obvious new wave sound, almost nothing reminds here of Omega's space-rock from the 70's.

''Omega XI'' sounds now quite archaically, mostly due to arrangements. Though some melodies are good, my personal favourites are nice ballads ''Alvajáró'' and ''Három csendes nap''. Uptempo song ''Kötéltánc'' (''Dancing On The Rope'') stays in the band's live repertoire for many years. As I know, Omega always had good lyrics, for this album they were written by Péter Sülyi. So those who understand Hungarian probably will find additional good qualities in ''Omega XI''.

In general, it is the album for fans/collectors.
