4 stars "Dryad" is the third album from the Swedish band IN THE LABYRINTH. They're blending eastern folk- and world music with progressive-, psychedelic and symphonic rock into their own personal and melancholic style. The music is rather unique with lot of sitars, and I can't really compare them to any other bands. The multi-instrumentalist Peter Lindahl is in many ways "the band", but the line-up also features, for example, Håkan Almkvist from ENSEMBLE NIMBUS and ORIENT SQUEEZERS. Peter has once again painted the beautiful and mystical front cover, just as he did on the magnificent debut album "The Garden of Mysteries". Although every album has been really good, this is probably IN THE LABYRINTH's best album so far. Both prog-rockers and eastern world music listeners can appreciate it.
