3 stars Sounds like a cross between the Steve Morse Band and The Dixie Dregs of old. There's definitely a _reunion_ album feel about it, but it's still pretty good. If you've never heard The Dixie Dregs, this is a good place to start. Excellent instrumental version of The Yardbirds SHAPES OF THINGS, although the best cover of that song goes to Canada's FM. Other highlights are _Calcutta_(great drum work from Rod Morgenstein as usual) and _Sleeveless In Seattle_ which, for you Deep Purple fans out there may notice that you've heard this one in Steve Morse's guitar medley along with Steve's _Tumeni Notes_ from his solo album HIGH TENSION WIRES in a live setting. Of note, Jerry Goodman of the MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA is the violinist on this album.
