3 stars Linear Sphere is a progressive metal band from UK. Is a young band with potential but something is not working as I want on this single album from 2005. The music is ok with god and mediocre passages, morea re good one's , showing that the guitar duo is good , wirh nice shifts from heavier side to a more mellow aproach. The bass is good, the drums did a good job, but now, the voice of Jos Geron are simply horrible. I don't know if this is a joke of a voice or they want it to sound like that. Man, is one of the most unpleasent and unenjoyble vocal parts I ever heared from any genre, any band any period of time, this guy sings like he is underwater 200 feet, really I'm not joking, he has no voice, and above that on some parts, more like on whole parts the vocal parts sound like a band who plays industrial music, robotic with to many scraches or whatever thay are. The music is ok in parts is even great, the duo guitars did the best job here, but the voice ruins everything that is good here, really, she drags the album to be a 2 stars for me. As a whole is not a bad album, and if this Reality dysfunction were an instrumental album, than for sure I would give a higher rate. Anyway, I don't think they desearve one star, because the instrumental passages are good. 2 star is ok.
