4 stars While drawing influences from diverse genre sources this Boston based crew provides a wonderous, yet fantastic mix of prog, funk, yeah even some pop appeal. Jan and Jacob Schwartz as well as Dana Goodwin, all versatile multi-instrumentalists, are shaping the band's core. They are sending out wonderful compositions and harmony vocals when it comes to this 'Journey To Lunar Castellum'. What? The Romans even were on the Moon once? Hah, I wouldn't be surprised :-) Anyway, at least five other musicians are involved too, more or less. Looks like this is their debut, but there will come more of this. The inspiration won't expire anytime soon, I'm quite sure.

They are definitely capable of forcing the masses to the dancefloor on your next party. Due to the funky groove occuring again and again. Occasionally however, as this surely is not a matter of some disco stuff on the other side, because also provided with variety, time changes, turns en masse in between. Let's say ... eh, forgive me ... just for your approximate orientation ... like Level 42 would significantly expand their approach towards the progressive rock genre (came to my mind someday, yikes!). Obviously Canterbury alike I would say, if you may enter the Writer's Block for instance. Or metal affine regarding Time Station. The lively Winter Sun appears with tasty pearling piano lines, where Ceilica marks a rather psychedelic excursion. A lovely eclectic album. I recommend to enjoy this in one go, a mandatory task. 4.5 stars.
