2 stars Not really a Zeuhl album but listed as such due to group founder Jeff Seffer's stint with Magma at the time. An album of mainly improvised free jazz jamming, clearly a talented bunch but does seem a bit disjointed. Truong's drumming is brilliant but it's generally Seffer's saxophone and clarinet that take centre stage. The closest thing to Zeuhl is the first secton of the second track, Septime Songe, where a minimalist jarring piano section from Kessler is joined by Seffer's bass clarinet with only sporadic use of cymbals joining in - giving an alien 'deep space' feel to the track, but after 5 minutes it develops back into the free jazz jam session. Doesn't do much for me to be honest.
