2 stars Bleak and predictable, devoid of power and beauty, "Geneva" shows RUSSIAN CIRCLES as "just another guitar-oriented Post-Rock band", and there are hundreds of them these days. Their debut was amazing, it was quirky and solid, reminding me of TOOL and CRIMSO sometimes more than of EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY or MOGWAI; it's follow-up was weaker; but this one is their least interesting album to date. It just slips through your ears leaving nothing in your head. Since when Post-Rock has turned into a music for supermarkets? I'd rather prefer them to be carrying on with TOOL ideas than running out of their own ones. Anyway, you may happen to like it, but if you prefer their debut to "Station", just avoid "Geneva"
