4 stars From Chile we have here a very interesting instrumental offering by a trully amazing guitar player named JOSE LUIS SANTANDER!He is absolutelly stunning in this project called LEPRECHAUN!The cover art is impressive, catchy and the music is in the same vein!Excellent instrumental work, muscled and with rhythm all the time, driven by a guitar player thet has a strong vision about what exactly he wants to offer! Some prog metal fusion compositions in which Mr Santander proves that the rest of team in 100 % connected to his musical direction!A very monolythic group in which each member has something to say,and each instrumentist seems to perfectly play his role!Great and rich production and every instrument sounds perfect. Not even a weak track, that gives to the listener guaranteed moments of satisfaction in a style that still has many good moments to offer! It's difficult to remark a particular song, because all are excellent and the unity of the album is perfect. All that remain is that Chile has such a dangelrous secret weapon.so well kept and, definitelly LEPRECHAUN deserves a wider recognition and audience! This is fusion prog at the highest level possible,a mixture of Satriani sometimes...crossed with Page and even some Holldsworth there, but a personal touch of Mr Santander everywhere, undoubtedly!LEPREFUNK and LABERINTOS seem to be the highlights of the album,if I had to pick 2 tracks, but I repeat...all compositions are so well worked and near to perfection ,made by a very skilled musician which is in his element in this musical direction! FELICITACIONES MR SANTANDER! 4,5 STARS for an excellent album!
