4 stars Third and last album from Radiolarians Trilogy is as interesting as two first were. Jazz rock trio, they mixing many possible un impossible styles and rhythms in one melted sound, but don't afraid it is far from avant-garde noises!!! Quite similar to John Zorn latest works, it's very melodic and structurized music, easy accessible one.

Not often experimental things looks so easy accessible - and I think it is a part of great talent. They use folk melodies, jazz drumming, early prog keyboards, neo-classical piano passages, funk rhythms, free jazz and avant-garde elements and rock energy and heaviness just to cook energetic and pleasant for listener sound. Never boring, they are what jazz rock means in the end of the first decade of XXI century.

Not too much different from it Trilogy's predecessors, the album is great final. These three albums are must listen to everyone interested in modern progressive music ( near John Zorn's 2009 releases). Music sounds not too complex, but has so many layers and ideas inside, that requires repeating listening again and again!

For heavy fans I can recommend a Trilogy set (Radiolarians: The Evolutionary Set) released later this year. It includes all three albums and huge amount of all possible other materials (incl. CD from band's live tour, CD of remixes and DVD) - all in all 5 CD's , 2 LP's and DVD!

Strong 4,5!
