FISH RISING

Steve Hillage played perhaps his best guitar lines on the 'Space Shanty' record and Fish Rising is said to be made partly with leftovers for what was supposed to have become the second Kahn album. You'll hear a mix of rock, jazz and space rock, but with little of sticky charm of that one Kahn album. In stead, this record kind of drags on a bit and fails to deliver a single good song. The recording sound is muddled as well, which makes listening to it a bit tiresome. Steve HIllage had also played nicely on a string of classic Gong albums, which I can highly recommend as well. I would give 'Fish Rising' a second change if the album would get a remix and remaster, but for now I would say this is for fans.
