For me, 'Apostrophe' has been the Zappa album I've found the most enjoyment in. As a running song cycle, it really works and the flow of it is quirky and fun. The one that came before it, 'Overnite Sensation,' I consider to be it's companion album, but I don't find near the same amount of consistency and enjoyment to it.

It feels like a bit of a weird pairing putting the first songs of each of these albums together, but what comes together are two pretty decent samples of the man's music at this time. What really makes this not work however, is that 'Don't Eat The Yellow Snow' is supposed to be part one of a two part duology that kicks of 'Apostrophe,' concluding with the funny 'Nanook Rubs It.' Without the second part of the puzzle, I really don't find the song that interesting anymore, as it was basically an introduction to the body of the composition. Now, it just ends up being a little snippet. Then it's on to 'Caramillo Brillo' which I have always found to be a pleasant poppy song but nothing more.

Nothing much to report here.
