Man, I love all of this period of Mahavishnu Orcherstra - but this one might be my very favorite.

The overall ensemble feeling mixed with the improvisation is astounding - especially to today's ears of "burnt out on how many notes we can play in a measure" styled fusion. I (who usually hate the influence) love the funk mixed with the classical, jazz, rock feel of some of the material. I also enjoy the vocals on this outing. Perfectly blended in with the rest of the music, again, giving an overall ensemble feel.

Although I never saw them play live, this is the tour I would have loved to have seen. Must have been fire and brimstone exciting, mixed with a nice spiritual aura.

This is the music that genre's are defined by. Man those darned English - how can such a small geographic area birth such diverse talents in rock music?!!!
