4 stars KLONE, the band that changes, evolves, with sax in 'Interlaced', astonishing and very crazy and a mid-tempo rhythm that denotes their previous titles. A sound that calms down, less nervous, as if their unplugged tour had transfigured them.. a consensual 'Desire Line' that nails the atmosphere of their sound inviting you to go dancing away from the eyes, to tap your feet, yes there is a spell to listen to, to incorporate, to realize that in 2024 the rock sound can still evolve.. A sound with the voice that settles, less hard more latent, a title like 'Magnetic' with its catchy percussions, the acoustic guitars leaning into folk rock, astonishing and disconcerting in view of their last album which rehashed a bit of the reheated sauce, good but predictable, here it's the slap. Just the latent, atmospheric intro of 'Slow Down' which unfolds and seems to get lost, which comes back with this haunting guitar.. There is a lot of prog blood in it, a bit in the atmospheric movement of THE GATHERING.. the composure, the maturity, the wisdom of driving a Bugatti without putting the foot down, even if I miss that little torrid solo on it... Well a bit of fast cinematic, a bit of wind to introduce...

'Spring' and its 12 minutes of post rock assumed at the start... A whiff of the Parisian KWOON who excelled in the genre for a title, the flagship title, the one oozing the prog spirit as I understand it, coming gently to your ears like an endless wave. Let's note on this occasion Morgan's sensual pad playing throughout the album, containing his strikes to give just the rhythm that suits the album well. And there's a memory of the last concert where I was able to film them in a fleeting moment... Where I said to myself, hey... they're making progress! Anyway, during this time Yann lets his voice belch, the guitars become frenetic, hypnotic, on the verge of a completely uncontrolled jam... The prog is there in front of you, that of 2024... Ah, this amazing break halfway through, enjoyable, coming directly from musical limbo!! A pure moment of happiness... just to digest the progressive finale with Aldrick and Guillaume turning off this long piece with a contemplative spleen. This 'After the Sun' in a nonchalant, intimate tone assured then this 'The Unseen' which takes up the basic sound of KLONE... Oh yes I forgot to introduce them to you... With the primal finale of Matthieu with his epileptic sax sweating the lineage of a crimson king.. Yes this Unseen definitely innovates.. and pleasantly!!
