The band's most progressive album, it saw their songs become longer and more expansive. The guitar sound is heavier, and riff wise at times it compares to the early death metal at the time. Loud, fierce yet at times incredibly beautiful, especially with the epic track One, which has one of the best music videos every made in my opinion. The lack of bass is petty and a massive mistake for the band, but it does give the album a certain a certain metallic feel. Lyrically the album is one of the bands best, dealing with topics like the environment and political issues. I do think that the seeds of what was soon to come were spread on this album, but it's overall an achievement.
