4 stars The famous "pink cover" was the legendary first album of INDEXI which was rather a compilation of their most succesful singles issued by Jugoton label during 1971-73, on the peak of their "progressive" period. All of these songs would make the favourite set of their live performances and could be regarded as a highly successful merge between the commercial and experimental side of the band, thus making the home repertoire of many even casual listeners across ex-Yugoslavia, who knew their lyrics by heart. This album has never been released on CD in its original form but the entire set was frequently copied as a core of many compilation CDs to come. So if the original LP is now a collector's item, the music is still available in digital format. Even though some crucial prog compositions were left out of this album (most notably the epic "Negdje na kraju u zatisju") the remainder is a strong organ-laden hard/prog rock with melodic bass and extraordinary guitar solos (check "Plima"). Two or three songs are more pop-oriented but that does not spoil the overall feeling of this unique set. Very important album for Bosnian and ex-Yugoslavian rock history and highly recommended for prog collectors.
