3 stars This is another compilation of SMAK old material, namely from the period 1977-86. Unlikely "The Best Of" collection, this one does not include any song from the 1975-76 first album and early singles (this version of "Ulazak u harem" is taken from 1978 album "Stranice naseg vremena"), but in return here are two good songs from 1979 single "Na Balkanu/Gore, dole", and Mihajlovic's solo single, instrumental cover of traditional "Mars na Drinu". The rest are more or less standard set of SMAK popular compositions in a vein of blues rock/fusion/prog. Some crucial songs are missing though, especially those with stronger prog touch. For prog fans "The Best Of Smak" is more comprehensive and substantially interesting. This one is good if you would like just to get acquainted with SMAK, or if you are a completist and want to have that long missing "Na Balkanu" single. If you do not have "Retrospektiva" LP compilation, this is somewhat expanded collection of the same period.
