3 stars The comeback (?) single from Tenochtitlan.

This Russian band/project released three albums in 2005-07 before they went into a hibernation for some years. Senmuth has released some albums during the break. I am not sure if this single is the beginning of a new era for Tenochtitlan.

The music on this album is ethno doom metal with Senmuth's death growls, typical doom metal guitars and a lot of computer outputs. The music is comparable with Senmuth's hardest outputs, but still a bit harder than his solo outputs. And that is not only down to his death growls. But the songs here are also very melodic and with both industrial and ethno twists which I find pleasing.

This type of music is an acquired taste and it will not please everyone. This is not music for the masses. But I find all three songs on this EP good. In particular the nine minutes long title track which is well structured and full of intricate details. Yes, I like this single and I hope it is a taster of something more to come. This sounds promising.
