TRUE STORIES

I really enjoy the movie this set is taken from but the album itself is more hit and miss. There are some awesome tunes- "Love for Sale" and "Dream Operator", some good tunes- "Hey Now", and "City of Dreams", but the rest gets boring or even annoying like "People Like Us". This seems to be pretty much of a David Byrne solo effort more than an actual Talking Heads release. As for it's prog-ness, there isn't really any here. Some good pop and world music is all. 2 stars would be about right, but because of the few nice songs as well as a pretty good movie of it, I bump it up to 3 stars.
