Agah Bahary is a natural born iranian who lives in Toronto - Canada for some years now. He is an excellent musician, a guitar player who manage to gather around him on his first solo album named The second sight of mind from 2008 some fantastic and well known musicians from prog jazz fusion zone. On keybords the everly present Derek Sherinian who done a great job here, listen and convince yourself, on drums the brilliant Virgil Donati, on bass Ric Fierabracci and of course the master Agah Bahary on guitar. The album is very well done, well played, musicianship is top notch, each musician know his instrument is such manner to create something worth investigated. Jazz fusion with prog metal leanings here and there is to be heared on this album, uptempo arrangements, with intristing chops and well performed keybords . All pieces are good, not a weak moment here, and another example of profesionalism and great compositions in jazz fusion realm.3.5 for this album, even is nothing fantastic or fabulous, have some gret and solid parts. Worth to be investigated if you like prog and jazz fusion music aswell, available CD at cdbaby among others.
