2 stars A median of a band launching ambiguous

Nurkostran is a relatively new name to me as I was introduced to them through an invitation. On its face, had access to their two EPs, and now I will talk about first, "XIII."

The problem of "XIII" and the other EP of them ,"-C-", is that music is flawed in many ways. It is a sound highly derivative, but while this is not necessarily a problem, the rest is.There is nothing special about the songs., although the first two, "iScream" and "Dome". The first is a bit full of influences from Yes, and it's kinda cool, while the second is really a gem with a slight taste of Camel (the band, not the animal) and nice melody.

But the rest of the album does not work. While "Alone" is somewhat forgettable, I remember the other three songs ... so bad they are. "Between" opens in an interesting, nuanced Floydians climate and a spacey, but falls apart with a dull and boring melody. Things get worse with "Madness", a kind of ELP twenty-first century - and I hate ELP. Last song, "Archie," could be better, since the lead singer of "Dome" (I do not know if they are two singers on this album, but who is the voice for the bands 3.4 and 5, it is really bad) but the "ticking" is not really annoying and the music gear.
