THE WHOLE STORY

I'm not going to review every single track here, because this is a singles collection and most of the tracks are reviewed here on their original albums. Suffice to say, this is as good a collection of singles as any solo artist can muster. It includes all her chart singles from the 1978 number 1 "Wuthering Heights", which here has a new improved vocal from Kate (and the drums sound better), to "Hounds Of Love" in 1986. For some reason, "Hammer Horror" is omitted, as is the non-album Christmas single "December Will Be Magic Again". Also of interest to collectors is the inclusion of "Experiment IV", which is another non-album single, featuring Dawn French in the video. I've given it 4 stars for being an unparalleled collection of singles, it would have been 5 if "Hammer Horror" and "The Big Sky" (the single prior to Experiment IV) had been included.
