3 stars Can you say Pink Floyd rip off? Well, Eloy gets accused of this quite a bit, and this album could be a big reason for it. There are so many Floydisms on this album, that it could easily be mistaken for a tribute. Having said that, I find it very enjoyable, with a bit more spacy vibe thanks to the lyrics, than mid-period Floyd. The first track starts as Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and then turns into Sheep. I'm not kidding. It is so blatant as to be almost ridiculous. The next song is a bit less of a copy, but still has some femal vocalizing that reminds me of Atom Heart Mother, plus more Gilmore style solos. After that, it becomes more typically Eloy, with far less blatant Floyd rip offs. Not their best album, but not at all bad, especially if you just don't think Floyd made enough music.
