JAKSZYK, FRIPP AND COLLINS: A SCARCITY OF MIRACLES

I know it's not King Crimson, and I know that everyone on the Team is old an tired, but this album was even worse than one would have expected from a King Crimson-related only, old and tired band.

Some of the Side A is OK, thanks to Gavin Harrison's refreshing presence, but nevertheless it lacks energy and musically is painfully bland.

I don't remember what they did on Side B, apart from some kind of a klutzy and emotionally detached a capella-ing, It didn't sound like KC, or like a good ProjeKCt, or indeed like anything that I would listen to at least twice.

And, frankly, the album art .. if was new and interesting when it was new and interesting, but you can't cut and paste the same comic strip characters from one album jacket to another for decades and expect them to retain the sense of freshness and originality. In other words, it feels like a teabag that has already been steeped twice.

To sum up: after the mediocre Power to Believe I was hoping that Fripp and what is left of KC would find enough energy and inspiration to make a decent swan song album. Apparently, this didn't come to pass.
