4 stars Do not be deceived by the Porcupine Tree comparisons, this is definitely a metal band, very much in the Opeth mould. Although I'm not a huge fan of the 'growling' vocals of this type of music, in this case it does not detract from the quality of the playing on this album. This is a very good prog metal album and I can heartily recommend it. There are some occasional 'lighter' moments to alleviate the metal, but not too many to put off any metal fan. The standard of the playing is really good throughout the album, with the twin guitars really giving it a lot of punch.
