4 stars This is a collection of EPs and singles from the band's earlier output as a four-piece spanning 1992 thru '97 but works beautifully as a cohesive album. Complex and relentlessly heavy, the boys tear into their brand of math rock but with a passion no mathematician ever displayed. Eschewing regular musical formats and solo instrumentation, the Dons need no leader (though drummer Che serves as one) and play as a real unit, which is rare these days. This is what great rhythmic musicianship is all about and 'Singles Breaking Up' evokes King Crimson at both their boldest and heaviest.
