Nemrud is comprised on Mert Göçay (vocal, guitar), Mert Alkaya (drum), Levent Candas (bass guitar). Based in Istanbul, Turkey, Nemrud are the first Turkish act pioneering a groundbreaking singular form of Progressive Rock with the debut album Journey of the Shaman. Nemrud have come a long way since starting life in 2008, creating a unique sound that started to spread like a house on fire on the independent scene. Two more critically acclaimed followed, gaining them the title of Pioneers of Turkish Progressive Rock. The lyrics delicately explore The Tree of Life and deep dive in the Origin of Sex and Origin of Mitosis. Nemrud''s careful composed lyrics give the audience a dooming multivariate mythological inference for the extinction of human kind. All 3 albums are intertwined and include sophisticated references to evolutionary theories and ancient mythology.
