WARRIOR ON THE EDGE OF TIME

This is a must have of any space rock fan. It's the best sound that Hawkwind was ever able to create. Unlike most fantasy or sci-fi albums, the lyrics aren't a slight bit cheesey. But that's to be expected, since it was written by the great novelist, Michael Moorecock. But it isn't just the lyrics that make it great but the instrumentation as well. With their advanced use of sound effects their music is greatly complemented. And you know their musicianship has to be good because of their history where most of their music was live.
