Marillion - Holidays in Eden CD (album) cover

3 stars About half of this album is really good and stands up to anything Marillion has done, incidentally the darker more complex songs (Splintering Heart, The Party, This Town/Rakes Progress/100 Nights trilogy). Rothery and Mosely are all over these songs and are in particularly good form but Mark Kelly seems to be taking a back seat. Unfortunately the other half of the album is pure pop (very dated sounding at that) and not representative of what people like about Marillion.
