2 stars JUST FOR FANS

I usually complaint about some very short single/EP releases, but this one is even shorter with only 2 songs (A shortened version of the title and a new song) and barely over 9 minutes total. I really can't understand why Marillion did this single and also released other similar ones at the same time. Of couse is intended for promotioal/ commercial reasons, and usually i like the way they manage to do it in a clever way and give us very interesting special outputs, but i think this time it was unnecessary to release 3 different versions of the same single, and specially because the way they are selling them in a special unexpensive combo in their web page (the 3 of them together for less than 6 pounds), it doesn't make any sense to me. I would've paid the same price for only 2 or even 1 cd with less but varied songs (even the same song in different versions) but not repeating them.

The only thing i have to comment about the songs is that the title track is almost the same than on the album but shorter and the new song "Say The Word" is an average track that starts slow and ends with a chanting on a 'gospel' style. Not a bad song but nothing extraordinary.

If you are trying to buy separately some of this singles i would recommend to get the TYWYA/Most toys or/and the DVD version.

So the rate is exaclty what PA guidelines say: 2 stars, only for collectors and fans(which i am).

Viva el Prog!
