I wouldn't expect that, but due to the very tight ranking system this album has to go with 3 stars. VERY difficult decision, but a necessary one.

Led Zeppelin II was very close to the debut, but this one is a clear step behind. Immigrant Song and Since I've Been Loving you are timeless, while the wonderful Tangerine is one of my favorite rock love songs.

While the rest of the album is definitely good (this is Led Zep we 're talking about for cryin' out loud!) it's not as significant as one would expect or demand from a band like this to compose.

3,5 stars, and the motivation they needed to create the juggernaut that was released a year after...
