3 stars Yes, it's the weakest Led Zeppelin album. But they don't make the 2 stars spectrum, even at their weakest.

One could say that ITTOD is a toned-down Presence. The structure follows the same mindset, but if you put each song next to it's "equal", the Presence songs win every time; Achilles Last Stand > Carouselambra, Four Your Life > All My Love etc.

I choose to stand on All My Love though, for a number of reasons.

First of all, it's the last great song that Led Zeppelin created, simplistic but brilliant, with a fantastic keyboard solo by the almighty Jon Paul Jones.

Second, I'm Greek and I know a story: Christos Dantis (Χρήστος Δάντης in Greek) is a musician that claims classic rock roots; you have to believe him, since he has created a couple of very good rock albums in his hey days. How is he related to All My Love? Well, he ripped that great keyboard solo and he played it as an acoustic guitar solo in his song "Kommatia" (Κομμάτια), keeping it 90% the same. He never gave credits or at least referred "inspiration" by JPJ...

Third and last, this was one of the very first Led Zep songs I listened to as a child through the radio, as it's their most "mainstream" song and it was played even by non-rock stations. I realized it was actually a song by them only when I bought my first Led Zep record, the "Early Days/Later Days" compilation, to my absolute amusement. Thus, I'll always love it.

John Bonham, we'll never forget you
