4 stars Wow, cant believe this hasnt been reviewed yet. This relase is not exactly a greatest hits or best of album from Asia, its basically the first three studio albums combined onto two cd's along with some unreleased stuff/demos. For the price, you cant go wrong with this. I mean, its Asia. While some hardcore prog enthusiasts hate Asia, because they werent the prog supergroup everyone expected them to be, they did release some great music that definatly had a prog side to it. There is no way you can call this pure pop music. It would be imposible to with the musicians present. I believe that Asia had produced a great blend of radio friendly prog, well, at least on their first album. The musicianship here is increadible. The song writing is amazing. When John Wetton, Carl Palmer, Geoff Downes and Steve Howe got together to make music, something amazing happened. Asia. Not prog, but not pop either. So if you liked Asia, and had/have their albums on records/tapes/etc, my advice would be to get this.

Asia, although not purely prog, definatly made some great music with prog undertones.
